Got third this year in the art show. Not as good as last year (first and best of show, which hasn't been awarded yet) but all things considered, I'm really happy. The first and second place pieces were beautiful. The painting that took second was actually the lady that sat next to me during my painting class- I *saw* her paint it (and thought she was doing a great job then) The big thing is: last year's piece took a year and a half to finish. This year it took two days. Yeah, I know. Madness. I had an outline already that I'd been mulling over for weeks, not really doing much with it, and in two days I had a bird. I'll try and take a picture/scan it once the show is over :)
