Holy crap! That is so awesome!!! Whitney!!! *dances* :D

You guys are never going to believe this in a million years. I just won a contest from glam.com to go to fashion week in NY this Saturday through Tuesday! A girl called me on Tuesday to let me know and I am still in shock! My mom's going with me and we get to go to 4 different shows and get our hair and makeup done and what not. This is absolute madness!

I know. I was driving when I heard about his death on NPR; I was completely shocked. Listening to his friend was heartbreaking. I can't imagine how hard it was for him to witness Steve's death. A lot of people have been talking about whether or not the film will be released of his actual death, and against all reason, they seem to think so. I definitely think the rest of the documentary will go out - that was his work and he wanted it shared with people - but I can't believe anyone actually thinks they'll show us his death. It doesn't make any sense to me at all. I know it was quick, and hopefully painless, but a real person's death, I highly doubt they would put that on TV. I don't know why anyone would want to see it.

The saddest thing, aside from his loss, and the loss to his loved ones, is all the parents on TV talking about their children and how they don't know what to tell their kids about him. Blues Clues doesn't die, Barney doesn't die... the little boy on the news last night just looked so lost. I never knew so many little kids watched the Crocodile Hunter.

On a happier note I enrolled at MATC (technical college) for a painting class. It's non-credit, but it's sort of a test run and hopefully I'll go to Whitewater in the spring. Hopefully. Not putting anything in stone, not pressuring myself again, just.. putting it out there. But it's a step so I'm proud of myself.

Wishing you two a belated Happy Labor Day! I'm going to reply to the other messages, I just sometimes start feeling overwhelmed and don't know where to begin. Just an issue I have.

p.s. I am so upset that Steve Irwin got killed. I just can't believe it.
