Today I had someone stop and ask me to be in a commercial.

Apparently, they had seen me walking around and thought I was 'Americana'. They're making a commercial for the city (the woman was a city employee, I have her card) to attract new residents and show them just how gosh darn neat it is to live here! ... Part of me finds this hilarious because 1) so many people tell me I look European and 2) I am *dying* to get out of this place.

But mostly I just think it's cool that someone wanted to film me.

lol. grandogs ^^ Have to run. Driving Wenxiao to Harvard so she can take the train back to Chicago. Fun fun.

Mom is still in La...We're going to be staying with her until we get settled...with the baby coming soon and all. Not due until the end of June, but I really don't think he's gunna wait that long...call it a hunch, I gues ;)

Thanks for the Mother's Day wishes...feels really weird, lol. We all showed up at Mom's house Friday night for her mother's day present...shocked the shit out of her to have all her kids, kids-in-law, grandkids, soon to be born grandkid, dogs, and granddogs show up at one time. lol She loved it.

Happy Mothers' Day! Especially to our soon-to-be mom ;) My art teacher, Colleen, this is *her* daughter's first Mother's Day as a mother. Last year her 'present' to Colleen was the news that she was pregnant with Haley. Colleen's 'present' this year was a portrait of Haley that she surprised Kara (her daughter) with at the art show. It was so cute!

I came up with a present for my mom rather last minute, and I've been working my butt off on something *else* for her (museum poster, sweet *god* I'm glad that's done) so that got bumped to her birthday which is June. It's not a portrait, but I'm going to use elements of her own face in creating an original art nouveau piece. Should be loads of fun (let the stress begin1!)

So LA, are you in the same place or is it a different house? Because I thought your mom moved to Texas *feels very blond* It's good that you could transfer, nice not to have to start from scratch. I'm not looking forward to the whole job search thing :/ I sort of suck at that.
