But I thought of you today. I was reading SPIN and found out I've actually been listening to Neko Case longer than I thought: she's in the New Pornographers. Another guy from that band is in Destroyer too.

Well karma just bit me in the ass.

I finally decided to do an LIMS (Last Icon Maker Stander) Every week there's a challenge issued, you make an icon and then people vote for the one they think is the *worst*. The person with the most votes get booted.

Now, there is a girl that I have issues with on LJ. She likes to copy my stuff, one of my friends stuff, and we haven't really been able to do anything about it. You post something and she'll gush about it, say it's fabulous and then a little while later you'll see something disturbingly similar coming from her.

She did the same thing for this contest. She copied a style of my friends, who also happens to be the mod of the community. Annie made a post about it in her personal journal because she's getting so frustrated about it... so when I went to vote I checked the links for the images and voted specifically for the girl I don't like. I didn't think it was the worst one, but it was a little way to get back at her.

Now *I'm* losing. I have no idea why, I think it's a good icon, going into this I was really proud of it. And I win almost every contest I enter so it's not like Iit's absurd to think I'd get through *at least* the first round. It's just... depressing. My first one and I'm going to be the first one to get cut.
