We went to a really nice restaurant - I'm back to Charleston - that was named after a dog. I can't remember the name, but I know it was a dog, and I know why it was a dog. We also went to a place called Bovine's that was wonderful. They didn't really serve beef, but they had the best crab cakes ever and the waiter was hot. He hit on me and my aunt was like, Awww he's hitting on you!
I don't know why, but whenever I go out with my whole family, waiters and busboys just flock to me. It makes no sense. They never do it any other time, never. But once you stick in my grandparents or aunt and uncle *BOOM* I'm the best thing since sliced bread, it's freaky.
They also had really good pizza that was made in a kiln; it doubled as entertainment if you sat at the bar. All in all, it's a nice city. Fairly clean in the ritzier part, but I didn't really get to go exploring much so I'm not sure what it's like once you get out of the tourist zone.
Speaking of brothers and jobs, Tom was offered a full timed position as a producer at the radio station where he's been working. I'm not sure what station it is, but it's a big one up in the Twin Cities and it's a big deal for him to get the job. It was a big deal for him to get any job there considering he had absolutely no experience or credentials to speak of, I mean, lord, he's a history major who's worked in food and sports, how on earth does that translate to radio?
He also has a 32 year old girlfriend, continuing what my father called the O'Connor tradition of dating older women.
I turned to Justin and said, I guess I'm the older woman.
It was a very funny moment that typing will never, ever do justice. Just the look on Justin's face, and my parents', absolutely hilarious, especially because I wasn't trying to be funny at all, I just said it.
I'm sick. For the the last few weeks all of my friends have been sick with this pleghmy hacking cough and I've been fine. I started to feel sick at the beginning, but I took the DayQuil and nipped it in the bud. Until yesterday when it reared its ugly head and "nipped" me right back. It's not too bad yet, but they were all sick for weeks, some of them are *still* sick, and I can only use the DayQuil/NyQuil for three days and then I have to take a whole week off before I can take it again otherwise I'll end up with rebound headaches and trust me when I say that those would be much, much worse.
Just had a minor heart attack. Thought my computer was going to freeze. Again.
I hope you guys got my e-mail. If not, let me know. I might be on here a little more than usual. Between my cold and the ungodly amount of snow outside - about a foot - I'm pretty much stuck here. Love to my girls. No kisses or hugs, don't want to contaminate.
